a shout out to Uncle Zach

Ava has been amazing and so sweet and non fussy except we had one not so happy day. I was exhausted. Some how she got her days and nights messed up and wanted to play for hours in the middle of the night and then during the day she was overly tired and not sure what to do with herself. I was not really sure what to do with either of us. That afternoon gigi (what Keegan's mom is called) showed up to check on both of us.... and brought a present that her uncle Zach had ordered for her. The visit cheered us up and the bunny is really cute. It will be called Zach bunny.

Ava meets her grandpa

My dad is here from North Carolina meeting his first granddaughter, seeing our new house and checking out this whole Texas thing. It is great to have him here with us.

Pop (my dad) is coming to meet Ava for the first time on Thursday. Thursday is also Ava's six week birthday.... oh slow down time.

Ava is growing so much

Things are changing fast. Its incredible to see and also makes me sad... she is already 5 weeks old and over ten pounds.

So it was a day of first .... also first bow in her hair. I went out for a bit and came home to a clean little girl (who went in the real shower with Keegan) in a pretty dress with a bow in her hair. Although I said I would never put a bow in her hair she looked pretty sweet I must say.

update

sorry we have been mia for a bit but we are back now.... it has been busy. Nursing has been more of a challenge than we had hoped. Ava's umbilical chord fell off (tear... and smile cause now we can give her real baths), first baths, lots of walks in the evenings, Grannie came to visit ( my mom who was in England and France getting married and honeymooning when Ava was born) and got to spend a lot of time with baby a, pediatrician check ups.. you know the usual. but we are good and there is a solid line up of visitors the rest of the month.... arwen (not married yet but almost), then ali (do not teach her to be as messy as you al... spent a while cleaning up after you in my life and then Pop (my dad) is coming to meet Ava. My brother has a golf tournament so my stepmom and sister will come with him sometime later.
