today i was taking the kids to a friends house and ava was super excited. she asked if little brother was going to come and i said yes indeed, she smiled. I continued to get organized to go and got Maddox in car with car started and came inside to speed up ava. " Ava we gotta go don't you want to go?" I called, I heard her say "yes but socky shoes" confused and tired i said "come on babe" and Ava comes running out of Maddox's room with a pair of socks for him. I am pretty sure she has figured he does not wear shoes but she herself does not like to not have shoes when we go places so sh got Maddox his kind of shoes. what a thoughtful gesture.

fabulous big sister

So I was so worried what Ava would feel like after Maddox was born, I mean all of a sudden there is someone else that needs so much but I could not have been more lucky. Ava is in love... I think she is ready for Maddox to be able to play a bit more but really every morning when she wakes up her first words are where is baby brother and then wants to see him and says good morning brother. She is very understanding of everything and so so so sweet and adoring to him. It melts my heart. She always wants to know where he is and if he has what he needs. She loves loves loves to have him hold her finger and she is excited to show him all the things she knows.

what we have been doing this past week....

shower with daddy
aunt amanda, cousin amelia, and gavin who ava adores was here... such a treat. Ava was sweet and wanted Amelia to be a princess also so she brought her a tutu and ruby slippers to wear

play dough with daddy

first bath

he loves the water

all clean

about a week or two ago Maddox could take a bath... we were waiting on one thing to fall off and then he was good to get wet.... Ava loved helping and still does. If she sees her old blue bath tub come out she goes and gets her "stairs" and tells me to put it right here mommy.
